Hi, I'm Maisie!
For as long as I can remember, my life has revolved around music and creativity. Growing up, I was either sat at the piano, practising my flute, or sketching, painting and creating something new. Those two passions have always gone hand in hand and have shaped both my education and my career.
It was only natural that I went on to study a Fine Art and Classical Music degree at Bath Spa University, where I had the opportunity to develop my skills in both disciplines. My artwork at university focused on large-scale abstract portraiture, but after graduating and moving into a very small flat, I quickly realised that creating huge canvases wasn't the most practical option!
Instead, I invested in an iPad and began exploring digital illustration. What started as a creative experiment soon grew into a successful small business, creating hundreds of bespoke pet portraits and commissioned illustrations for clients across the UK. Alongside this, I continued to paint and take on traditional art commissions.
Professionally, I've worked as an Art and Design Manager, designing edible artwork for the baking industry, before moving into my current role in Design, Marketing and Operations, where I create accessible digital resources, branding and marketing materials. Each role has allowed me to develop a wide array of skills while reinforcing my passion for thoughtful, high-quality design.
Today, I'm bringing everything together under one name: Maisie Jordan. Whether I'm teaching piano and flute, creating commissioned artwork, designing illustrations or developing new creative projects, my goal is always the same... to create work that is personal, meaningful and made with care.
I believe creativity has the power to bring confidence, joy and connection, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career around the things I've loved since I was a child. Whatever the project, I love creating work that is thoughtful, personal and brings lasting value.
